Novecento 250 ml light shellac paint ready for restoration very light wooden furniture finishing

Ready-to-use "Novecento" shellac.

PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR LIGHT WOODS.
Very high quality traditional spirit varnish based on bleached and dewaxed shellac dissolved in solvent. It gives furniture a shiny finish and can be applied to antique furniture being restored or to new raw wood furniture (not veneered or pre-finished wood).

How to use:

Phase 1
PREPARATION:
It is applied on very clean and completely dry wood.
If the wood is rough, it can be applied directly or previously treated with pore sealer.
If the wood is waxed, it will be necessary to remove the wax with a 0000 (4 zeros) wool pad soaked in wax remover.
If the wood is painted, the paint must be removed with paint remover.

Phase 2
APPLICATION:
Apply the Shellac very carefully using a cotton swab or a soft brush.
Apply a first light coat, leave to dry for 4 hours and apply a second coat.
If necessary, apply a third coat after 4 hours.

ATTENTION!
After each coat has completely dried, and between one coat and the next, sand with 0000 (4 zeros) steel wool to make the surface grippy and dust to eliminate dust.
