INE 55 B Basic electrode for welding C and C-Mn steels
CHARACTERISTICS:
Basic coated electrode suitable for welding carbon and
carbon-manganese steels with tensile strength up to 510 MPa. Ideal
for positional welding of highly stressed joints. Deposit with very
low diffusible hydrogen content. Excellent mechanical
characteristics both in the conditions as welded and after stress
relieving heat treatment. Excellent low temperature toughness
values. Used in boilermaking, pressure vessels, shipbuilding,
offshore and in all cases of quality carpentry. Excellent
radiographic qualities. Yield 120 %
WELDING GUIDELINES:
Always use the Personal Protective Equipment required by the safety
data sheets. Weld with a short arc, checking the heat inputs. Apply
Preheat and Stress Relieve according to base material requirements
or WPS "Welding Procedures".
